Lucknow: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) on Saturday issued a stern warning to students against making special marks, writing phone numbers, or addresses inside answer books. The university management clarified that such actions would be considered a use of unfair means in examinations and would invite action as per the prescribed rules.
University Directive on Answer Book Markings
An AKTU official stated, "Students have been directed not to write their mobile numbers, phone numbers, roll numbers, addresses, or any special mark of identification on the inner pages of answer books or within answers. Roll numbers or details asked are permitted only in the designated space on the cover page." The directive aims to prevent any attempt to influence or contact the examiner through personal details.
Disciplinary Action Under Unfair Means Regulations
The university emphasized that any student found making such markings inside the answer book will face disciplinary action under the Unfair Means Regulations. This rule covers attempts to seek undue favor by mentioning address, contact details, mobile number, or through any representative. Students are advised to strictly adhere to these guidelines to avoid penalties.
