Bengaluru: Over 1.7 lakh students have registered for the II PU examination-2, scheduled to be held from Thursday. According to official data, 92,554 boys and 79,597 girls have enrolled for the second exam.
A large portion of these candidates — 82,746 students — are those who could not clear their exam in the first attempt. The figures also show a considerable number of students aiming to boost their performance. As many as 49,512 students who already passed their exam have applied for improvement, as II PU scores are used for calculating CET ranks.
Additionally, 39,099 repeater students have registered to reappear for the exam. As many as 794 private candidates will also be taking the exam.
