In the senior division of the KDMA league held at the PAC ground on Monday, Wanders Club secured a convincing 8-wicket victory over Sir Padampat Singhania Sports Academy.
First Match: Wanders Club Dominates
Batting first, Sir Padampat Singhania Sports Academy managed only 106 runs before being bowled out in 22.2 overs. Aditya Singh top-scored with 24 runs, while Ayushman Singh contributed 10 runs. For Wanders Club, Yash Yadav was the standout bowler, taking 5 wickets for 33 runs, and Suraj Yadav claimed 3 wickets for 21 runs.
In reply, Wanders Club reached the target of 107 runs in 19.5 overs, losing just two wickets. Neelesh Kaul remained unbeaten on 49 runs, and Atul scored an unbeaten 35 runs to guide their team to victory.
Second Match: Southern Club Advances
In the first Anil Rawat memorial cricket tournament at Sapru Ground, Southern Club edged past MUC Club by 2 wickets to move into the semi-finals.
MUC Club batted first and posted a total of 198 runs in 32 overs. Abhishek Singh led the way with 55 runs, while Saurabh Jha made 39 and Hardik Bind scored 33. Krishna Bali was the pick of the bowlers for Southern Club, taking 3 wickets for 29 runs, and Pranjal Gupta took 1 for 14.
In response, Southern Club achieved 201 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 31.3 overs. Lskshya Mishra remained unbeaten on 47 runs, while Rohit Kumar Gupta contributed 43 and Krishna Bali added 38. For MUC, Harshit Shukla took 4 wickets for 47 runs, and Chinmay Gaur took 1 for 20.
