In a significant development for Indian youth football, six players from Punjab FC have earned spots in the national under-20 squad for the upcoming SAFF Championship, currently being held in the Maldives. Tournament Schedule and Expectations
India will kick off their campaign on March 26 with a highly anticipated match against Pakistan, followed by a second group game against Bangladesh on March 28. The top two teams from the group will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for April 1, with the finals set for April 3. India enters the tournament as defending champions, having won the previous SAFF Championship, which was an Under-19 event held last year in Yupia, Arunachal Pradesh.
