Tournament details
The tri-series will be a round-robin format, with each team playing the other twice. The top two teams will then face off in the final. This series serves as a crucial platform for fringe players to stake a claim for a spot in the senior national team, especially with the ODI World Cup scheduled for later in the year. The BCCI selection committee, headed by Ajit Agarkar, has emphasized giving opportunities to performers from domestic cricket.
The India A team will depart for Sri Lanka on June 10 and undergo a short training camp before the tournament begins. All matches will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
