The Chandigarh Amateur Boxing Association is set to organize the 39th Sub-Junior Boys and 20th Sub-Junior Girls State Boxing Championship at the Sector 42 Sports Complex boxing hall on June 13 and 14. This event will also function as trials to select the Union Territory team for the 5th U-15 National Boxing Championship, scheduled from June 23 to 30 at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar.
Registration and Eligibility
Document verification, entries, and weigh-in will take place on June 12 from 4 pm at the venue. Eligible participants must be residents of Chandigarh, studying in institutions within the city, and born between January 1, 2012, and December 31, 2013. Boxers are required to submit their Aadhaar card (with history), school ID, proof of residence, and a recent photograph. The entry fee is Rs 200.
Weight Categories and Selection
Bouts will be conducted across 15 weight categories, ranging from 30–33 kg to 70 kg and above. Winners and selected pugilists will have the honor of representing Chandigarh at the national championship.
