BSF Soldier MB Madegowda Succumbs to Heart Attack During Duty
The village of Tavaregere in Mandya district is mourning the tragic loss of MB Madegowda. The 44-year-old Border Security Force soldier died from a heart attack while performing his duties on Tuesday night. Madegowda was stationed at the BSF training centre in Latur, Maharashtra when the cardiac arrest occurred.
Twenty-Five Years of Dedicated Service
Madegowda began his military career in 2000 after successfully participating in a recruitment rally held in Mysuru. Over his twenty-five years of service, he served the nation at multiple locations across India. He leaves behind his wife S Shilpa, a son, and a daughter.
Shilpa expressed her deep sorrow while acknowledging the support received from the BSF. She stated that the organization provided excellent care for the family during their time in Maharashtra.
Final Farewell with Full State Honours
The soldier's mortal remains arrived in Mandya on Wednesday morning. The district administration immediately organized a funeral ceremony with complete government honours. A solemn tribute took place at the District Armed Reserve grounds where police personnel performed a guard of honour.
Several dignitaries attended to pay their respects. Mandya MLA Ravikumar, Deputy Commissioner Kumara, and Superintendent of Police Shobharani all placed wreaths on the mortal remains. District officials offered heartfelt condolences to the grieving family before formally handing over the body for final rites.
A procession moved from the police grounds to Yattagadahalli cemetery. Members of the public had the opportunity to pay their final respects before the funeral concluded with full state honours. The entire community joined together to honour a soldier who dedicated his life to serving the nation.
