Gaganjeet Bhullar made a strong upward move in the third round of the USD 2 million International Series Morocco, despite dropping his only bogey of the day on the closing ninth hole. The four-time IGPL winner and 11-time Asian Tour champion added a card of 4-under 69 to his earlier rounds of 70 and 74, climbing from overnight T-47 to T-27.
Indian Players' Performance
Karandeep Kochar, who also started on the tenth tee, faced a challenging second nine but managed a round of 2-under 71. With a total of 4-under for three rounds, he sits at T-43. Ajeetesh Sandhu had an inconsistent round, carding a 74 with six birdies, six pars, and six holes with a bogey or worse, including one double bogey. He slipped from T-25 to T-47.
Leaderboard Highlights
Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson maintained his lead despite late bogeys, shooting a 4-under 69. He stands at 15-under, one shot ahead of Thailand's Jazz Janewattananond (67) and Hong Kong's Taichi Kho (68). Watson, who is chasing his first win since the 2018 Travelers Championship on the PGA Tour, stumbled with back-to-back bogeys on the 14th and 15th but recovered with a birdie on the drivable 17th hole.
Jazz Janewattananond, the 2022 champion, surged with a birdie-eagle finish, while Kho closed with three pars. Japan's Takanori Konishi carded a bogey-free 66 to join Thailand's Pavit Tangkamolprasert (72) in tied fourth at 12-under. Julien Sale (68) of France and Suteepat Prateeptienchai (70) of Thailand are tied sixth at 11-under.
Bhullar's Round
Bhullar started on the back nine, birdying the 10th and 15th holes. After the turn, he added gains on the third, fifth, and eighth to reach 5-under before a bogey on the ninth pushed him down a few places.
Other Notable Performances
Mehdi El Fakori, the only Moroccan player to make the cut, shot his second consecutive 3-under 70 to move to tied 33rd at 5-under.
