Mansa Girls Excel in PSEB Class XII Results

Girl students in Mansa district have once again demonstrated their academic prowess in the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class XII examinations, continuing a trend of excellence. The results, announced recently, show that girls have outperformed boys in terms of pass percentage and top positions.

Pass Percentage Highlights

The overall pass percentage for girls in Mansa district stood at 89.5%, compared to 82.3% for boys. School principal Harjinder Kaur said, "Our girls have worked extremely hard, and we are proud of their accomplishments." Similarly, private schools like SD Senior Secondary School and DAV School also reported excellent results from their female students.

Challenges and Support

Despite the success, challenges remain. Many girl students in rural areas face difficulties such as lack of internet access and financial constraints. However, initiatives like free coaching classes and scholarship programs have helped bridge the gap. The district administration has also launched a mentorship program to guide students in career choices.

Parents expressed their joy and gratitude. "We never imagined our daughter would achieve such high marks. The support from teachers and the government has been invaluable," said Sukhwinder Kaur, mother of Simranjeet Kaur, the district topper.

Future Prospects

With these results, many girls are now aiming for higher education in prestigious institutions. Career counseling sessions are being organized to help them choose the right path. The DEO emphasized that the focus will remain on improving the quality of education and ensuring equal opportunities for all students.

The trend of girls outperforming boys in board exams is not limited to Mansa but is seen across Punjab. This year, the state-wide pass percentage for girls was 87.2%, compared to 80.5% for boys. The PSEB has also introduced measures to reduce exam stress and promote holistic development.
