Vaibhav Sooryavanshi hits fastest List A fifty in 11 balls

Indian teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has entered the record books by scoring the fastest fifty in List A cricket history. The 15-year-old opener achieved the feat during the Tri-Nation Series final between India A and Sri Lanka A at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Wednesday.

Record-breaking innings

After Sri Lanka A won the toss and elected to field first, Sooryavanshi launched a breathtaking assault on the Sri Lankan bowlers. He raced to his half-century in just 11 deliveries, shattering the previous world record of a 12-ball fifty set by Sri Lanka's Kaushalya Weeraratne in 2005.

The historic moment came when Sooryavanshi smashed left-arm seamer Dulaj Samuditha straight down the ground for his fifth six of the innings, bringing up his remarkable fifty and rewriting the List A record books.
