The company unveiled a comprehensive Training and Selection Programme that will scour the nation for the next generation of racing talent. The initiative underscores TVS's long-standing commitment to nurturing motorsport in India.
Nationwide Hunt for Racing Talent Begins
The heart of the selection process will be a series of zonal trials spread across four major Indian cities. The trials are scheduled to run from January 17 to February 7, 2026. This nationwide tour is designed to give aspiring racers from different regions a fair chance to showcase their skills.
The schedule for the initial selection rounds is as follows:
- Bengaluru: January 17 at the Aruani Grid.
- Pune: January 24 at the Pune Kartdrome.
- Delhi (Noida): January 31 at Formula Karting.
- Kolkata: February 7 at the ECO Park parking lot.
These zonal rounds will focus on identifying talent for two key segments: the Women's Training and Selection and the Rookie Selection categories. Riders who impress the scouts in these cities will earn a coveted spot in the final selection phase.
The Final Showdown at Madras International Circuit
All roads lead to Chennai for the shortlisted riders. The conclusive selection for the 2026 championship season will be held at the prestigious Madras International Circuit (MIC) in May 2026.
The final selection schedule at MIC is packed:

The safety package provided is top-tier, featuring:

- Motorcycles that receive personalised race tuning for optimal and safe performance.
This championship has been a cornerstone of Indian motorsport since its inception in 1994. Over the years, it has trained and race-prepared more than 3,000 riders, significantly contributing to the country's racing ecosystem.
Catering to Every Stage of a Racer's Journey
The PETRONAS TVS India OMC is renowned for its structured pathway for riders of all levels:
The TVS Rookie OMC, launched in 2022, is the perfect entry point. It has already introduced over 100 newcomers to competitive racing using race-spec TVS Apache RTR 200 motorcycles.
For seasoned racers, the TVS Apache RR 310 OMC (2018) offers a high-performance platform. It has seen participation from over 300 riders, with many graduates progressing to national and international circuits.
The championship also pioneers inclusivity. The TVS Women's OMC, India's first dedicated racing platform for women started in 2016, has empowered over 500 female riders. The TVS Young Media Racer Program (YMRP), active since 2017, creates a unique bridge between media and motorsport. For the 2026 season, YMRP participants will get behind the handlebars of the TVS Apache RTR 310.
With registrations for the zonal trials now open, the stage is set for another thrilling chapter in India's motorsport history, driven by TVS's relentless pursuit of racing excellence.
