Aamir Khan Joins Dream Run with Family

Bollywood star Aamir Khan made his debut at the marathon this year. He participated in the Dream Run, which covers a distance of 6 kilometers. Khan ran alongside his ex-wife Kiran Rao, son Azad, daughter Ira, and son-in-law Nupur Shikhare. Their presence added a touch of celebrity glamour to the already exciting event.

Creative Costumes and Cause Awareness Shine

The Dream Run once again served as a platform for creativity and social causes. Runners used the opportunity to raise awareness about important issues. They highlighted child safety, climate change, and cancer awareness through their participation. Many dressed in eye-catching outfits to draw attention to these causes.

Fashion took center stage on the running route. One runner captured everyone's attention by dressing as Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra. Another participant showcased a look dedicated to Operation Sindoor. A Spider-Man costume also made an appearance among the crowd. Numerous women chose to run in traditional saris, demonstrating that comfort and cultural expression can work together perfectly.

Participants Share Their Marathon Experiences

Nimish Madani, a 43-year-old participant, completed a 1.5 kilometer run in the Champions with Disability category. He has been joining marathons for the past decade. "I truly enjoy being part of events like these," Madani said. "I get to meet new people, hear inspiring stories and feel motivated to return year after year."

Srikant Anarase, a 50-year-old finance executive, emphasized the unique experience of running in Mumbai. "Running on Mumbai's roads along the seaside is such an amazing experience," he shared. "I feel everyone should participate at least once and experience it. I ran the marathon last year, too, and for me, age doesn't matter. Enthusiasm is what truly counts."

Rachna Choudhary, a 28-year-old corporate communications executive, described the incredible vibe of the event. "With so many people lining the roads and cheering you on, the spirit of Mumbai really shines through," she explained. "This motivates me to come back every year. After the 8 km mark, I was almost ready to give up. But watching people run together, some even holding hands, gave me a huge energy boost."

The Mumbai Marathon 2026 proved to be more than just a running event. It brought together people from all walks of life, celebrating fitness, community spirit, and social awareness. The streets of Mumbai echoed with cheers and encouragement as thousands pushed their limits and enjoyed the collective energy.
