In a significant development for one of North India's premier golfing institutions, Major Rajinder Singh Lally Virk (retd) has assumed leadership of the Chandigarh Golf Club with a comprehensive 100-day reform agenda. The newly elected president secured his position with a decisive victory, defeating his opponent by 304 votes in what has been described as the largest winning margin in recent club history.
Professional Course Management Takes Center Stage
The cornerstone of Virk's agenda revolves around elevating the club's golfing facilities through professional management. The newly elected president emphasized that improving course maintenance and playing conditions would be immediate priorities. Plans include appointing professional consultants to oversee course management and enhance the overall golfing experience for members.
