Yogi Adityanath Pays Tribute to Mahant Ramdas in Gorakhpur

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Gorakhpur district on Wednesday to pay his respects to the recently departed spiritual leader, Mahant Ramdas. The Chief Minister offered floral tributes at the Madariya Siddhpeeth, located in the Gola tehsil, and addressed a gathering of mourners.

A Life Dedicated to Sanatan and Vedic Traditions

Speaking at the condolence meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath reflected on the profound legacy of Mahant Ramdas. He emphasized that Sanatan Dharma represents a path focused entirely on the welfare and upliftment of human life. The Chief Minister praised the late seer for devoting his entire existence to the preservation and propagation of these eternal Sanatan and Vedic traditions.

Mahant Ramdas, who passed away recently, was deeply connected to the Gorakshpeeth for close to five decades. CM Yogi shared personal anecdotes from his past interactions with the spiritual leader, recalling his unwavering commitment to spiritual service and community guidance.

Blessings for Successors at Two Spiritual Sites

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the teachings and values of Mahant Ramdas would continue under the guidance of his successor, the present Mahant Sreeshdas. He urged him to carry forward his guru's ideals with the same dedication.

Earlier in the day, CM Yogi's visit included a stop at the Chachairam Math in the Uruwa region. Here, he paid homage to another late spiritual figure, Mahant Panchanan Puri, who passed away on November 16. During this visit, the Chief Minister blessed the newly appointed young Mahant, Pranav Puri.

In a symbolic gesture, CM Yogi presented Mahant Pranav Puri with an angavastra (a traditional stole) and assured him of the government's full cooperation in managing the affairs of the Math. He also took time to interact with local devotees and residents, listening to their perspectives.

The Chief Minister's visits were attended by a host of local leaders and a large gathering of devotees, underscoring the community's respect for the departed seers. Notable attendees included:
