In a decisive move to protect the state's youth, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the police to launch a stringent crackdown on fraudulent travel agents operating in Gorakhpur. The directive came after the CM personally heard multiple complaints from individuals who were cheated of lakhs of rupees with false promises of securing jobs abroad.
Directives Issued During Janata Darshan
The Chief Minister issued these urgent instructions while listening to the grievances of approximately 250 people during his Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath Temple. A significant number of complaints centered on unscrupulous agents exploiting the dreams of unemployed youth.
One poignant case involved a woman who informed the CM that a travel agent had cheated her family after taking money to send a member abroad. Taking serious and immediate note, Yogi Adityanath instructed the police officials present to take strict action against the specific agent and, crucially, to ensure the victim's money was recovered.
A Stern Warning Against Illegal Migration
Beyond individual cases, the CM used the platform to caution the public at large. He warned people to be vigilant and avoid falling into the traps set by unauthorized agents. He emphasized that illegal migration often leads to people landing in foreign jails, causing immense hardship for themselves and their families.
Assuring the public, he stated there was no need to panic and that every genuine problem would be addressed effectively. He mandated the administration and police to resolve all issues in a timely, fair, and efficient manner.
Zero Tolerance for Delay and Land Grabbing
While reviewing police-related complaints, Chief Minister Adityanath stressed that there should be no delay or negligence in helping victims. He issued a clear warning that any laxity in the redressal of public grievances would invite action against the responsible officials.
He directed all administrative and police officers to ensure a time-bound, fair, and quality disposal of complaints. In a separate but firm order, he commanded strict legal action in all cases of land grabbing.
Compassion Alongside Action
The Janata Darshan also saw several people seeking financial assistance for critical medical treatments. Responding with empathy, the CM instructed officials to expedite hospital estimate procedures. This acceleration will enable adequate help to be provided swiftly from the Chief Minister's Discretionary Fund.
Displaying a personal touch, Yogi Adityanath also warmly interacted with children who had accompanied their families to the event. He encouraged them to attend school regularly and gifted them chocolates, blending stern governance with a message of care for the future generation.
This comprehensive response from the Chief Minister's office signals a robust approach to tackling fraud and administrative inefficiency, aiming to restore public trust and safeguard citizens from exploitation.
