Uttar Pradesh Enters New Era of Law and Order, Says CM Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared on Wednesday that Uttar Pradesh has transitioned into a new phase where fear, tension, anarchy, and the threat of riots are now relics of the past. Speaking at an event in Lucknow to commemorate nine years of his government, he emphasized the significant improvements in public safety and social harmony.

Peaceful Celebrations and Enhanced Security Measures

Adityanath noted that festivals, which previously were surrounded by an environment of apprehension, are now celebrated peacefully and harmoniously across the state. He specifically mentioned that occasions like Alvida prayers are conducted smoothly without any disturbances, attributing this change to robust law enforcement and community cooperation.

Massive Job Creation and Transparent Recruitment

Over the past nine years, the government has provided approximately nine lakh government jobs, including 2.19 lakh positions in the police force. The state's training capacity has been dramatically increased from 3,000 to 30,000, enabling more simultaneous recruitments and reducing delays.

The Chief Minister criticized previous administrations, stating that job vacancies often led to extortion and favoritism, frustrating talented youth and forcing many to migrate. In contrast, his government has implemented a transparent system that has empowered lakhs of young people through fair employment opportunities.

Modernization of Police and Infrastructure Development

Adityanath highlighted extensive efforts to modernize and strengthen the police force. Key initiatives include the establishment of forensic science laboratories, a state forensic institute, and a special security force. Additionally, 34 companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) have been revived, and for the first time, three women battalions have been formed within the PAC.

Under police reforms, a commissionerate system has been introduced in seven districts to enhance policing efficiency. Cyber police stations have been set up in every district, along with cyber help desks in each police station, to effectively combat digital crimes. These measures have positioned Uttar Pradesh as a model for strong law and order, according to the CM.

Industrial Growth and Investor Confidence

Mentioning the state's vast land bank, 34 sectoral policies, and investor-friendly platforms like Nivesh Mitra and Nivesh Sarathi, Adityanath pointed out that before 2017, investors avoided Uttar Pradesh due to security concerns, lack of policies, unavailability of land, and insufficient government intent.

He claimed that between 1947 and 2017, fewer than 14,000 industries were established in the state. In contrast, more than 31,000 large industries are now operational, reflecting a surge in economic activity and investor confidence driven by improved governance and infrastructure.

The Chief Minister's address underscored a comprehensive transformation in Uttar Pradesh, focusing on safety, employment, and economic development as cornerstones of his administration's achievements.
