CM Yogi Adityanath Oversees Comprehensive Navratri Preparations in Mirzapur

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a detailed inspection of the Chaitra Navratri preparations in Mirzapur on Tuesday, with a primary focus on ensuring a pleasant and clean experience for the thousands of pilgrims expected to visit the revered Vindhyachal Temple. The visit underscored the state government's commitment to enhancing infrastructure and safety measures during this significant religious festival.

Emphasis on Cleanliness and Plastic-Free Initiatives

During the review, Yogi Adityanath placed strong emphasis on making Mirzapur, including the expansive Vindhyachal fair area, completely plastic-free. He directed officials to implement rigorous sanitation plans that encompass the Ganga ghats, ensuring top-notch cleanliness throughout the district. The Chief Minister instructed authorities to guarantee door-to-door garbage collection and maintain immaculate conditions at all key public spots, including roads, bus stations, and railway stations.

"Comprehensive security arrangements should be made for devotees as well as women in the entire fair area. Safety measures should also be initiated to ensure a secure and orderly environment during the fair," Adityanath stated, highlighting the importance of a safe pilgrimage experience.

Enhanced Security and Traffic Management

Reviewing the security arrangements, the Chief Minister asked officials to finalize a robust traffic management plan to facilitate hassle-free entry and exit for pilgrims in the Vindhyachal corridor and fair area. He stressed the need for comprehensive security protocols, particularly for the safety of women devotees, to create a secure and orderly environment during the festivities.

In light of rising temperatures, Adityanath emphasized the necessity of providing all essential public amenities. "All public amenities, including drinking water, toilets, electricity, and lighting, should be made available for devotees. Adequate drinking water arrangements should also be made across the district," he directed, ensuring that pilgrims' comfort is prioritized.

Transport, Crowd Management, and Safety Measures

On transport and crowd management, the Chief Minister directed that parking arrangements be optimized to prevent devotees from walking long distances to reach the temple. He also mandated that National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams remain on standby, with life jackets provided for individuals taking boat rides in the Ganga, thereby enhancing safety measures for water-based activities.

Law and Order and Development Priorities

Adityanath reviewed the district's law and order situation, instructing officials to take effective action against cattle smugglers and cow slaughterers. "The mastermind behind these crimes should be identified and effective action should be taken against them," he added, underscoring a zero-tolerance approach to such offenses.

He further directed the administration to dispose of old revenue cases on priority and ensure the timely completion of ongoing development works across the district. The Chief Minister called for meetings with public representatives and local entrepreneurs to resolve pending issues and facilitate land availability for outside investors willing to establish enterprises in Mirzapur.

Stressing accountability, Yogi Adityanath concluded, "Development works should be completed on time while ensuring quality," reinforcing the government's dedication to efficient and high-standard public service delivery during the Navratri season and beyond.
