CM Yogi Adityanath Stresses Green Development, Orders Weekly NHAI Project Reviews
Yogi Adityanath Balances Infrastructure with Environment in UP

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a strong statement on Monday about balancing growth with nature. He declared that building roads and other infrastructure is crucial for progress. However, he firmly stated this development must not come at the cost of the environment.

A Green Policy for Progress

The Chief Minister outlined the government's clear environmental policy. He revealed an ambitious target of planting thirty-five crore saplings across the state this year. For any construction project that requires tree removal, Yogi Adityanath set a strict condition. Cutting trees should only happen when it is absolutely unavoidable.

"More trees should be planted than the number of trees cut," the CM asserted. He explained this approach ensures a healthy balance. Development moves forward while the environment is protected and enhanced.

Streamlining Road Projects

CM Yogi Adityanath shared these views during a detailed review of various road projects in Uttar Pradesh. He conducted the assessment district-by-district through a video conference. The focus was on improving coordination and speeding up work.

He issued specific instructions to ensure better teamwork. The CM directed for continuous and effective coordination between National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials and the local district administration.

Strict Review Mechanism

To prevent delays, Yogi Adityanath established a rigorous monitoring system. He ordered the concerned District Magistrates to conduct weekly reviews of all NHAI projects in their areas.

Any pending issues must be presented to the Chief Secretary during his Monday review meetings. The CM instructed that these problems should be resolved promptly without unnecessary hold-ups. For broader oversight, he also directed the Chief Secretary to review the progress of these projects every fortnight.

Protecting Farmers' Interests

The Chief Minister gave clear commands regarding land acquisition, a sensitive part of infrastructure projects. He emphasized establishing direct communication with farmers. Middlemen or brokers should not be allowed to interfere in the process under any circumstances.

This step, he said, is vital. It protects the interests of the farmers and ensures projects move forward with complete transparency. Everyone involved understands the terms clearly.

The Link to Economic Growth

Yogi Adityanath connected these efforts to the state's larger goals. He stated that road projects are directly linked to Uttar Pradesh's economic development. Better roads facilitate industrial expansion and provide great convenience to the public.

"Therefore, all work should be completed with quality and transparency," he concluded. The CM believes this approach will help development gain a new momentum through strong and reliable connectivity across the state.
