Speaker UT Khader Champions Human Values at Philanthropic Event
In a powerful address at the 'Neravu-2025' event in Mangaluru, Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker UT Khader underscored the collective duty to instill human values in the youth and future generations. The event, organized by Asha Prakash Shetty of the MRG Group, served as a platform to celebrate and expand a significant philanthropic mission.
Praise for Prakash Shetty's Vision and Legacy
Speaker Khader lauded the 'Neravu' initiative founded by philanthropist and MRG Group Chairman, K Prakash Shetty. He reflected that at life's end, only one's name and deeds remain eternal, making a life lived with peace, coexistence, love, and trust a priceless jewel. Khader urged the community to embrace Prakash Shetty's life as an ideal and to support his resolve to stand with the oppressed and foster a harmonious society.
"We must support Prakash Shetty's resolve to stand with oppressed people from all communities, and build a harmonious and peaceful society," Khader stated, highlighting the initiative's core social ethos.
Expansion of the 'Neravu' Initiative: Aiding 14,000 Families Annually
Addressing the gathering, K Prakash Shetty shared the journey of 'Neravu', which he started in 2019 based on suggestions from close associates. Now in its seventh year, the initiative provides financial aid across seven districts. Shetty revealed ambitious future plans: following a decade of celebration, the aim is to give a collective structure to the beneficiaries, enabling the initiative to assist at least 14,000 families every year.
"With divine strength and blessings, I grew as an entrepreneur... The financial aid provided today should benefit recipients across seven districts," Shetty explained, outlining the initiative's growth trajectory.
Massive Financial Aid Disbursed to Families and Organizations
The event culminated in a substantial philanthropic distribution. A total financial aid exceeding Rs 9.5 crore was provided to approximately 4,000 families and more than 100 organizations. This direct support underscores the initiative's tangible impact on the community.
The ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries including Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, Asha Prakash Shetty, Mohan Alva (President of Alva's Education Trust), Kapu MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, and MRG Group Managing Director Gaurav P Shetty.
The 'Neravu-2025' event thus stood as a testament to community leadership, philanthropic vision, and a concrete step towards social empowerment, blending philosophical discourse with actionable humanitarian support.
