UP Deputy CM Maurya: Opposition Won't Return to Power Till 2047

UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya Launches Fierce Attack on Opposition, Predicts No Return to Power Until 2047

In a strongly worded political statement, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya launched a sharp critique against opposition parties on Saturday, labeling them as "frustrated and desperate" and making the bold claim that they will not return to power until the year 2047. Maurya attributed this prediction to what he described as the opposition's fundamental lack of real issues to present to the electorate.

Maurya Addresses Media After Inaugurating Saras Mela in Prayagraj

The deputy chief minister made these remarks while speaking to journalists after inaugurating the Saras Mela at Parade Ground in Prayagraj. During his media interaction, Maurya asserted that opposition parties have repeatedly attempted to mislead the public, but he expressed confidence that citizens have now become increasingly aware of such tactics and can see through them.

Maurya emphasized the importance of grassroots political work, exhorting party workers to gear up for the 2027 elections by strengthening their connections with people at the community level. He outlined a three-pronged approach for BJP workers: actively engaging with citizens, effectively highlighting government welfare schemes, and systematically countering what he termed the opposition's "misinformation agenda."

Saras Mela Aims to Empower Women Through Economic Opportunities

The deputy chief minister elaborated on the purpose of the Saras Mela initiative, explaining that it is designed to provide substantial economic opportunities to women associated with self-help groups across Uttar Pradesh. By enabling these women to sell their products directly to consumers, the program aims to strengthen the financial condition of poor families and help them progress toward greater prosperity.

Maurya highlighted that the "double-engine government" – referring to BJP governments at both state and central levels – is implementing numerous welfare schemes specifically focused on empowering women and making them self-reliant. He stated that these initiatives would significantly contribute to the broader vision of developing both Uttar Pradesh and India as a whole.

BJP MP Ravi Kishan Praises Modi's Leadership, Criticizes Congress

Meanwhile, Bhojpuri actor and BJP Member of Parliament from Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan, who was also in Prayagraj to participate in Holi and Basant festival celebrations, addressed the media and offered strong praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Kishan emphasized that empowering women and daughters remains a key priority for the Prime Minister, noting that this mission is being vigorously carried forward in Uttar Pradesh under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's administration.

Responding to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent demand to confer the Bharat Ratna award on BSP founder Kanshi Ram, Kishan launched a counterattack by pointing out that the Congress party ruled India for decades but failed to provide adequate recognition to leaders from backward communities during their long tenure in power.

The BJP parliamentarian also criticized opposition parties for what he described as disruptive behavior in Parliament, arguing that valuable legislative time and public money are wasted when parliamentary proceedings are deliberately stalled.

Kishan Addresses LPG Concerns Amid Global Tensions

On emerging reports of potential LPG cylinder shortages due to escalating global tensions, Kishan sought to reassure the public by stating categorically that there is no scarcity of cylinders in the country. He urged citizens not to panic and suggested that misinformation about supply issues is being deliberately spread by opposition parties to create unnecessary concern among the population.

The political developments in Prayagraj highlight the intensifying political rhetoric in Uttar Pradesh as parties position themselves for future electoral battles, with BJP leaders presenting a united front in both promoting government initiatives and countering opposition criticism.
