"We are poised to create history and secure a decisive victory this time. Our leader will undoubtedly serve as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for a second consecutive term," Udhayanidhi Stalin asserted while addressing the media. His confidence is bolstered by a substantial previous electoral performance; in the 2021 elections, he clinched the seat with an impressive margin of 69,355 votes.

Meanwhile, on Friday, TVK president and popular actor Vijay filed his nomination from the Trichy East constituency, following his earlier submission from the Perambur seat on Monday. His opponents include DMK candidates RD Sekar in Perambur and Inigo S Irudayaraj in Trichy East.
