Natesan addressed the ongoing speculation about leadership within the Congress party, noting that "three or four people in Congress are waiting to become chief minister." He specifically mentioned prominent leaders like V D Satheesan and Ramesh Chennithala as having such aspirations, describing them as "individual desires."
The SNDP leader maintained a neutral stance on who should lead the Congress, stating "I have no opinion on who should become the chief minister." He used a metaphorical comparison, questioning "whether we should name a child before it is born," suggesting that leadership decisions should follow electoral outcomes rather than precede them.

Natesan emphasized the unpredictable nature of the current electoral situation, remarking that "given the current situation, it is unpredictable who will come to power." He acknowledged that while the NDA's vote percentage is expected to increase, "it is uncertain if they will be able to open an account" in terms of securing seats.
The veteran leader highlighted that "a stronger triangular contest is happening compared with previous elections," with various political fronts claiming they will win 100 or more seats. Despite the overall uncertainty, Natesan expressed confidence in one particular outcome: "There is no doubt that P P Chitharanjan will achieve a tremendous victory in Alappuzha."
