Electrical Short Circuit Sparks Fire at Hyderabad Liquor Shop
A fire broke out at a liquor shop located on Raj Bhavan Road in the Somajiguda area of Hyderabad early on Saturday morning. The incident, which occurred around 6:45 am, was reportedly caused by an electrical short circuit. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the blaze.
Details of the Fire Incident
According to officials from the fire department, the fire originated inside a refrigerator and freezer unit within the shop. The short circuit in the electrical system allegedly ignited the flames, which then spread rapidly. The fire caused minor damage to the equipment and some stored items, but the quick response prevented a more severe outcome.
Fire personnel were alerted promptly and rushed to the scene. They managed to bring the fire under control within 10 to 15 minutes, effectively containing it and stopping it from spreading to adjacent areas or causing further destruction.

Assistant Divisional Fire Officer (ADFO) GV Prasad commented on the incident, stating that the prompt action by the fire crew was crucial in quickly containing the fire. He emphasized that their efficient response helped minimize the damage and ensured safety.
An inspection was conducted after the fire was extinguished to confirm there was no risk of reignition. The estimated property loss from the incident is around 50,000 rupees, reflecting the minor nature of the damage thanks to the swift intervention.
