Nagpur: Razor-thin margins defined the outcomes of several gram panchayat bypolls across multiple talukas in Nagpur district on Wednesday, with a Shiv Sena-backed candidate clinching victory by just one vote in Pathgovari village of Ramtek taluka.

Key Victories by Narrow Margins

Another keenly contested battle was reported from Hatti-Ashti in Saoner taluka, where Congress-backed Anil Gudde secured the sarpanch post by a narrow margin of four votes. Congress-backed candidates registered wins in several gram panchayats, including Ranjit Singh Chauhan from Bokhara in Hingna constituency, Kailas Gandhi from Kelvad in Saoner, and Ajay Madavi from Pathgovari in Ramtek for the post of sarpanch.

In Umred (Bhiwapur) constituency, Khevita Balu Varkhade (Adyal), Punjab Mahadev Panchbhai (Taka), and Ashwini Bandu Gaikwad (Navegaon Deshmukh) emerged victorious.

NCP(SP) Secures Key Wins

Candidates backed by Nationalist Congress Party (SP) also secured key wins. Rekha Gore won from Arambhi in Narkhed taluka with a margin of 89 votes, while Roshni Jadhav triumphed in Pusagondi village of Katol taluka.
