Raghava Constructions Denies Illegal Crusher Allegations in Hyderabad

In a firm rebuttal to allegations raised in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Raghava Constructions (India) has categorically denied operating an illegal crusher in Shamshabad or evading seigniorage payments. The company stated it first became aware of these serious accusations only when they were discussed during assembly proceedings.

Company Director Issues Detailed Statement

Director D Niranjan Reddy released a comprehensive statement on Monday clarifying the company's position. "We have never established or operated any crusher on our own at Kothwalguda village in Shamshabad mandal," Reddy asserted emphatically. He explained that Sree Thirumala Metal Industry had leased a crusher in November 2024 specifically for their crushing operations, completely separate from Raghava Constructions' activities.

Addressing Political Connections and Operations

The company took pains to clarify its management structure, noting that Ponguleti Prasad Reddy serves as managing director. They specifically stated that no immediate family members of minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy are involved in the company's operations or decision-making processes.

Disputing Assembly Claims About Notices

Raghava Constructions challenged the narrative presented during assembly proceedings by MLA Harish Rao. "The claims about joint inspections by revenue department, Pollution Control Board, electricity and mines departments before issuing notices are simply not correct," the company stated. They emphasized that the alleged show-cause notices from the assistant director of mines and geology for RR district were never received at their official address or by any authorized representatives.

Business Operations and Material Sourcing

The director detailed their legitimate business practices: "We require crushed stone aggregates for our road works with HRDCL and have been purchasing these materials from Sree Tirumala Metal Industry." This arrangement, according to the company, clearly separates them from any crushing operations or responsibility for seigniorage fees on materials at crusher sites or stock points.

Key Points of the Company's Defense

  1. No illegal crusher operations conducted by Raghava Constructions
  2. First learned of allegations through assembly proceedings
  3. Never received any official notices from mines department
  4. Purchase crushed stone from third-party supplier
  5. No responsibility for seigniorage payments on crusher stocks
  6. Clear separation from political family connections

The company maintains that all their business activities comply with relevant regulations and that the allegations stem from misunderstandings about their supply chain relationships rather than any wrongdoing on their part.
