Prayagraj District Magistrate Leads Preparations for UP Police SI Recruitment Exams
District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma of Prayagraj presided over a crucial meeting and training program on Tuesday, focusing on the seamless execution of the written examination for Direct Recruitment-2025. The recruitment drive targets positions for Sub Inspector, Civil Police, and equivalent posts within the Uttar Pradesh Police force.
Examination Details and Security Protocols
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board will administer the exams across 43 centers in Prayagraj, often referred to as the Sangam city, on March 14 and 15. The examinations are scheduled in two sessions: from 10 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm. A total of 53,760 candidates have registered to participate in the district, highlighting the scale of the recruitment process.
During the meeting, DM Verma issued clear directives to sector magistrates, static magistrates, center administrators, co-center administrators, and other involved officers. He emphasized the necessity of conducting the exams with utmost responsibility, sensitivity, and in a secure environment free from copying or malpractice.
Strict Measures for Confidential Materials and Surveillance
Manish Kumar Verma outlined stringent protocols for handling confidential examination materials. He mandated that these materials must be received exclusively in the presence of static magistrates and center administrators, all under continuous CCTV surveillance to ensure transparency and prevent any breaches.
Officials have been instructed to patrol the examination centers within their designated sectors throughout the exam period. Once the exams conclude, the confidential materials must be deposited in double-locked storage units, under police custody, following a prescribed route to maintain chain of custody and security.
Accountability and Necessary Arrangements
The District Magistrate directed static magistrates to guarantee that all essential arrangements and required actions are implemented at the examination centers. These measures must align precisely with the instructions issued by the recruitment board to uphold the integrity of the examination process.
Verma warned that any negligence or lapses in duty would result in strict disciplinary action, underscoring the seriousness with which the administration views this recruitment exercise. The comprehensive training program aimed to equip officers with the knowledge and tools needed to manage the exams efficiently, ensuring a fair and orderly experience for all candidates.
