PM Modi Intensifies Attack on TMC Over Women's Reservation Bill in Bankura Rally
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp critique against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Sunday, focusing on the women's reservation bill. However, he claimed that the TMC, in collusion with the Congress party, conspired to block the bill, preventing more of Bengal's daughters from becoming MLAs and MPs. He described this as a reflection of what he termed "Maha Jungle Raj" in the state, implying lawlessness and poor governance.
Further emphasizing the BJP's stance, Modi stated that the party's core political identity is rooted in women's empowerment and safety. He criticized opposition parties for betraying the sisters of Bengal by stalling the bill in Parliament, particularly highlighting its failure in the Lok Sabha.

Beyond the reservation issue, the Prime Minister targeted the state government on broader governance and welfare delivery. He alleged that women in Bengal are not receiving benefits comparable to those in BJP-ruled states, promising that a change in government would enhance welfare initiatives. This includes ensuring free ration support for poor women, among other measures aimed at improving prosperity and safety.
