Patna District Magistrate Inspects Key Flyover Construction Site in Naubatpur

District Magistrate Thiyagarajan S M conducted a thorough inspection of the Khagaul–Naubatpur road flyover construction site at Naubatpur in Patna on Friday. The visit focused on assessing the progress of this critical infrastructure project, which is currently in its foundational phase. According to officials, four piles have been successfully completed so far, marking an early but significant milestone in the construction process.

Project Timeline and Broader Development Plan

The Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation, the agency responsible for the flyover, has set an ambitious target to complete the entire structure by 2027. This project is not an isolated effort but forms part of a much larger ₹10,000 crore development initiative announced by the chief minister. This comprehensive plan encompasses a total of 32 distinct projects aimed at enhancing urban infrastructure and connectivity across the region.

Simultaneous Road Widening for Enhanced Connectivity

In a parallel development, officials are actively engaged in widening the 10.5-kilometer AIIMS–Janipur–Neva road. This widening work is strategically designed to seamlessly integrate this arterial route with the upcoming Patna Ring Road. The dual focus on both the flyover and road expansion underscores a coordinated approach to alleviate traffic congestion and improve overall transportation efficiency in the Patna metropolitan area.

Administrative Oversight and Instructions

During the inspection, DM Thiyagarajan S M issued clear directives to the engineers and project managers on site. He emphasized the critical importance of adhering strictly to established timelines and ensuring flawless coordination among all involved departments and contractors. The district administration has committed to conducting regular field visits to monitor the advancement of these works closely. These proactive measures are intended not only to track physical progress but also to address any logistical challenges promptly, thereby minimizing disruptions and easing traffic congestion in the surrounding localities.

The ongoing inspections and supervisory efforts reflect a robust administrative push to accelerate infrastructure development in Bihar, with Patna at the forefront of these transformative projects.
