CM Naidu Charts Andhra's Development Path with 2047 Vision at Ugadi Celebrations
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, speaking at Ugadi festivities in Vijayawada, emphasized the coalition government's unwavering commitment to steering Andhra Pradesh on a robust development trajectory. He outlined a comprehensive strategy involving short-, medium-, and long-term planning, with a resolute goal to position the Telugu community at the forefront globally by 2047.
Ugadi Festivities and Cultural Significance
During the Sri Parabhava Nama year celebrations at Tummalapalli Kshetrayya Kalakshetram, Naidu participated in Ugadi Pachadi alongside ministers, public representatives, and officials. He extended Ugadi greetings to Telugu people worldwide, noting that the traditional Pachadi, with its mix of flavors, symbolizes life's joys and sorrows. The chief minister highlighted that Indian festivals and traditions are scientifically grounded and promote healthy lifestyles through practices like yoga, naturopathy, Surya Namaskar, and nature-based living.
Naidu praised overseas Telugus as brand ambassadors of Telugu culture and called for collective effort to elevate the community's global standing. He urged citizens to work towards transforming Andhra Pradesh into a wealthy, healthy, and happy society by 2047, reinforcing the state's cultural and economic aspirations.
CMRF Assistance Released on Telugu New Year
Marking the first day of the Telugu New Year, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu approved the release of Rs 55.63 crore from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF). This financial aid benefits 6,787 beneficiaries, assisting poor families in overcoming medical and financial hardships. Officials reported that over the past 21 months, the government has disbursed more than Rs 1,241 crore through CMRF, supporting 1,36,240 individuals across the state.
Priests from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and Kanaka Durga temple offered Ugadi blessings to the chief minister during the event, adding a spiritual dimension to the proceedings.
Panchangam Predicts Economic and Cultural Revival
Brahmasri Madugula Nagaphani Sharma delivered the Panchanga Sravanam, forecasting a prosperous Sri Parabhava Nama year for Andhra Pradesh. He predicted adequate rainfall, cultural resurgence, economic progress, and the transformation of Amaravati into a global city, assuring peace and prosperity for the people. Sharma emphasized that government initiatives undertaken with determination would yield positive outcomes.
In recognition, Chief Minister Naidu honored Nagaphani Sharma with new clothes and unveiled the TTD Panchangam, Agriculture Department Panchangam, and Cultural Department calendars. Additionally, he presented Ugadi Puraskar and Kala Ratna awards to artists and achievers from various fields, celebrating cultural excellence and contributions to society.
The event underscored the government's dual focus on welfare and development, blending traditional values with modern governance to achieve long-term goals for Andhra Pradesh and the Telugu community.
