Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is set to lead a significant high-level review session on Monday, bringing together state ministers and secretaries. The meeting aims to take stock of the state's economic progress, governance reforms, and the implementation of major development projects.
Core Agenda: Economy and Long-Term Vision
The discussions will have a special emphasis on the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth and the detailed Vision 2047 roadmap. This long-term plan is designed to position Andhra Pradesh on a rapid development path for the coming decades. Officials are scheduled to deliver comprehensive reports on the ten foundational principles underpinning Vision 2047 during the meeting.
Scheduled at the state secretariat from 10:30 am to 2 pm, the conference will also include the virtual participation of all district collectors via video link. This ensures a coordinated approach between the state headquarters and district administrations.
Key Review Areas and Governance Push
Following the presentations, CM Naidu will conduct a thorough assessment of several critical sectors. The review will encompass revenue generation, centrally sponsored schemes, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects, and investment inflows.
A major focus will be on enhancing administrative efficiency and transparency. The Chief Minister is expected to review the disposal of long-pending files, expansion of online citizen services, and the rollout of WhatsApp-based governance initiatives. He is likely to stress time-bound service delivery and strict accountability across all levels of the administration.
Revenue Reforms and Digital Upgrades
Reforms in the revenue department will receive particular attention. Directives concerning the distribution of pattadar passbooks, completion of land surveys, grievance redressal mechanisms, and strengthening of registration services are on the agenda. A significant move involves plans to safeguard property records using blockchain technology for enhanced security and transparency.
The meeting will also track progress on improving the ease of doing business and upgrading digital platforms. Coordinated efforts between departments will be underlined to speed up development and ensure that welfare and infrastructure projects effectively reach the grassroots level.
Additionally, the agenda includes discussions on the Centre's recently introduced VB–G–RAM G scheme, focusing on its alignment with the state's own priorities. Officials stated that the meeting aims to set clear departmental targets, strengthen governance systems, and ensure sustained economic growth in line with the Vision 2047 goals.
After concluding the review, Chief Minister Naidu will travel to his native village, Naravaripalle, to celebrate the Sankranti festival.
