CM Naidu & Lokesh Attend Mega PTM in Bhamini Amid High Security

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Human Resources Development Minister Nara Lokesh are set to participate in a significant Parent and Teacher Meeting (PTM) event at Adarsh Model School in Bhamini, Parvathipuram district, on Friday. The high-profile visit to this border area has prompted massive security deployments due to regional sensitivities.

Elaborate Security Arrangements for VIP Visit

Approximately 1,500 police personnel have been deployed in and around Bhamini in view of the visit. The security detail includes seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 24 Circle Inspectors, and 51 Sub-Inspectors. This substantial force is conducting intensive vehicle checks on the route from Battili to Bhamini.

The heightened vigilance is attributed to two key factors. Firstly, Bhamini is a bordering area between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, requiring extra precaution. Secondly, the police are on alert due to the ongoing PLGA Week celebrations by the banned CPI Maoist outfit, which are observed from December 2 to December 9 annually.

Schedule and Preparations for the Mega PTM

Minister Nara Lokesh arrived in Bhamini late on Thursday evening. Chief Minister Naidu is scheduled to reach the location on Friday morning via helicopter. The Adarsh Model School has been thoroughly prepared for the large-scale event.

School authorities have arranged around seven different rooms for the PTM, including laboratories and dedicated spaces for science and sports activities. CM Naidu is expected to visit all these rooms, potentially take a class for students, and engage them with questions. A key part of the program will be his interaction with parents, culminating in a lunch shared with them.

Lokesh's Night Meeting with Party Cadres

Prior to the main school event, HRD Minister Nara Lokesh held an extensive interaction with party workers on Thursday night. He met with around 700 cadres and leaders from the Palakonda Assembly Constituency.

During this gathering, Lokesh felicitated 39 leaders who showed exceptional involvement in the recent party membership drive and other political activities. He presented them with recognition certificates for their efforts. The meeting was also attended by Araku Parliamentary Constituency In-Charge Kidari Sravan Kumar and Palakonda Assembly Constituency In-Charge P Bhudevi.

The combined visit of the state's top leadership to a border region underscores the government's focus on education and direct engagement with communities, even as it navigates complex security challenges.
