Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) and senior election official Dr. Ashwini Joshi delivered a firm warning. She stated that banners, hoardings, posters, and any other campaign material must disappear after the deadline. Failure to comply will trigger action under the stringent Property Defacement Act.
Dr. Joshi emphasized a significant financial consequence. Any costs the civic body incurs while removing leftover material will not be absorbed by the city. Instead, these expenses will be added directly to the election expense account of the concerned candidate. This move aims to ensure accountability and deter last-minute littering of public spaces.

Following orders from the Maharashtra State Election Commission, a 48-hour silence period will commence immediately after campaigning ends. This period imposes a complete ban on all forms of electioneering.
