MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Applauds Modi and Shah for Eliminating Maoism, Criticizes Congress
In a significant address at the MP-UP Cooperation Convention 2026 held at Hotel Ramada in Varanasi, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav strongly endorsed Union Home Minister Amit Shah's vision of a "Maoist-free India". Yadav attributed this achievement to the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the unwavering resolve of Amit Shah, declaring that "the 'lal salaam' (final salute) has been given to extremism" under their guidance.
Opposition Parties Accused of Prolonging Maoist Issue
Yadav launched a sharp critique against the Congress and other opposition parties, alleging that they deliberately allowed Maoism to thrive during their past regimes in Madhya Pradesh for political gains. He asserted that these parties kept the problem alive, hindering progress and development in the state. According to Yadav, this strategy was used to maintain control and leverage, rather than addressing the security concerns of the region.
New Era of Development and Industrial Growth in Madhya Pradesh
With the state now declared Naxal-free, Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is poised for a transformative phase of economic advancement. He highlighted several key factors driving this growth:
- Policy-based transparency ensuring a clear and fair business environment.
- A vast land bank readily available for industrial setups and expansions.
- Reliable power supply to support continuous operations and reduce downtime.
- Strong connectivity through improved infrastructure, facilitating easy transport and logistics.
- An investor-friendly environment designed to attract and retain businesses.
Yadav confidently stated that "MP is becoming a hub of new opportunities", with the eradication of Maoism paving the way for enhanced industrial activities and overall development. This shift is expected to boost employment, increase investments, and improve the quality of life for residents across the state.
The convention served as a platform to reinforce the government's commitment to security and prosperity, marking a clear departure from the challenges of the past under opposition rule.
