In a significant push for regional development, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday unveiled a massive package of infrastructure and welfare projects for Sidhi district, asserting his government's mission-driven approach to state-building.

Massive Investment for Sidhi's Growth

The Chief Minister performed the 'Bhoomi Poojan' (ground-breaking ceremony) and inaugurated a total of 209 development projects with a combined worth of Rs 201.64 crore. This substantial investment underscores the administration's focus on balanced regional growth. The event took place during a training-cum-orientation program for beneficiaries of various government schemes at Bahri, in Sidhi district.

Yadav emphatically stated that his government is operating "in mission mode to build a new Madhya Pradesh", ensuring no region is left behind in the development journey. He highlighted that the people's trust fuels the government's energy for comprehensive state welfare and economic strengthening through new works and job creation.

Key Announcements: Education and Connectivity in Focus

Responding to local demands, the CM made several pivotal announcements aimed at transforming Sidhi's socio-economic landscape:

  • A new college in Bahri will be established, commencing operations from the next academic session.
  • Science and commerce streams will be introduced in the existing colleges at Singhawal and Deosar.
  • A major infrastructure project, the construction of a 64.54-km-long two-lane road from Bahri to Churhat at a cost of Rs 129 crore, was announced to drastically improve road connectivity.
  • For better governance, the part-time additional collector court in Deosar will now function as a full-time entity.
  • Critical river connectivity will be enhanced with the construction of a new 500-meter-long bridge over the Gopad River and a causeway over the Mahan river.

In addition to the primary projects, the launch also included 505 works under the 'Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam' initiative, involving an outlay of Rs 11.58 crore.

The Vision for a Self-Reliant Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Yadav outlined the core philosophy behind these development drives. He stressed that for a truly developed Madhya Pradesh, it is essential to empower its foundational pillars: villages, the poor, farmers, youth, and women. The ultimate goal is to make these sections self-reliant, empowered, and prosperous. He called for the cooperation of all citizens in this collective endeavor.

The projects unveiled in Sidhi district represent a concrete step towards translating this vision into reality, focusing on permanent irrigation facilities, education, and connectivity to provide sustainable strength to the local and state economy.
