Kavitha Alleges Conspiracy in Telangana Lecturer Recruitment, Demands Policy Review

In a significant development from Hyderabad, Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha has leveled serious allegations of a conspiracy in the recruitment process for degree college lecturers. Speaking to the media at her party office on Wednesday, she drew direct parallels with the controversial Group-1 recruitment process that has previously sparked widespread debate.

Accusations of Government Hurdles for Unemployed Youth

Kavitha accused the government of systematically creating obstacles for unemployed youth through a series of government orders that restrict fair access to employment opportunities. She specifically targeted Government Order No. 4, claiming it was deliberately designed to favor select candidates in the lecturer recruitment process, thereby undermining merit-based selection.

Questioning PhD Weightage and Recruitment Tactics

The political leader raised strong objections to the provision granting 25 marks' weightage to PhD holders in the recruitment process. She questioned the fairness of this policy, pointing out that PhD opportunities themselves are limited and unevenly distributed, creating an inherent advantage for certain candidates.

"Similar to the Group-1 recruitment controversy, where special examination centers were reportedly used to benefit specific individuals, we are now witnessing comparable tactics being adopted in lecturer recruitment," Kavitha stated emphatically.

Demand for Transparency and Policy Withdrawal

Kavitha demanded immediate transparency in the recruitment process and called for the withdrawal of GO No. 4. She further sought the cancellation of several other contentious government orders that she claims create barriers for job aspirants:

  • GO 104 (DSC - District Selection Committee)
  • GO 29 (Group examinations)
  • GO 46 (police recruitment)
  • GO 81 (Gurukul institutions)

Criticism of Both Previous and Current Governments

The Telangana Jagruthi president criticized both previous and current governments for their failure to review these recruitment policies. She accused the Congress party of exploiting youth aspirations for political gain while neglecting substantive policy reforms that would create genuine employment opportunities.

Call for Job Calendar and Vacancy Filling

Kavitha made several concrete demands to address the employment crisis in Telangana:

  1. Implementation of a clear and transparent job calendar
  2. Immediate filling of approximately 2 lakh government vacancies
  3. Comprehensive review of all recruitment policies affecting youth employment

"Nearly 40 lakh families in Telangana depend on government job opportunities. The current recruitment policies are creating unnecessary barriers and denying qualified candidates their rightful opportunities," she emphasized, highlighting the widespread impact of these policies on the state's population.

The allegations come at a time when unemployment remains a critical issue in Telangana, with youth job seekers increasingly vocal about perceived irregularities in government recruitment processes across various sectors.
