JDA Approves Rs 240 Crore Elevated Road for Sanganer Traffic Relief

Jaipur Development Authority Greenlights Major Infrastructure Projects

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has taken a decisive step toward alleviating chronic traffic woes in the Sanganer area by approving a substantial Rs 240 crore for an elevated road project. This crucial decision was finalized during the executive committee meeting held on Thursday, marking a significant advancement in the city's urban infrastructure planning.

Addressing Persistent Traffic Congestion

Officials emphasized that this project was originally announced in the state budget for the fiscal year 2024–25, specifically designed to tackle the daily traffic jams that plague Sanganer. A comprehensive traffic survey conducted by authorities revealed severe congestion along key stretches, including the Sanganer flyover, Chordia petrol pump, Malpura Gate, and Kalyanpura ROB. These findings underscored the urgent need for a structural solution to improve mobility and reduce commute times for residents and commuters.

Detailed Plan for Elevated Road Network

According to the approved blueprint, the elevated road project will feature a dual-component design to optimize traffic flow. A robust 4-lane elevated road will be constructed, extending from the Sanganer flyover to the vicinity of the Kalyanpura ROB. Simultaneously, a 2-lane elevated road will link the Chordia petrol pump area to near Diggi Malpura Gate. This strategic layout aims to decongest the identified hotspots and facilitate smoother vehicular movement across the region.

Complementary Sewerage Strengthening Initiative

In a parallel development, the JDA has also sanctioned a sewerage strengthening project to enhance the area's civic amenities. As part of this initiative, a state-of-the-art 40 MLD (Million Liters per Day) sewage treatment plant will be established near Bambala. This facility will utilize advanced SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) technology, ensuring efficient and environmentally sustainable wastewater management. The integration of this project with the road infrastructure highlights a holistic approach to urban development in Jaipur.

The approval of these projects reflects the JDA's commitment to addressing both transportation and sanitation challenges, paving the way for improved quality of life and economic growth in Sanganer. Residents and stakeholders are optimistic that these measures will bring lasting relief from traffic bottlenecks and contribute to the area's overall development.
