Haryana CM Launches Rs 16.5 Cr Projects in Ladwa

In a significant push for infrastructure and community welfare, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday unveiled a multi-crore development package for the Ladwa assembly constituency. The announcements, made during a state-level event in Kurukshetra district, span crucial sectors like health, education, roads, and water supply.

Major Upgrades for Health and Education

The Chief Minister declared that the existing 30-bed Community Health Centre (CHC) in Ladwa will be upgraded to a 50-bed Sub-Divisional Hospital, promising better healthcare access for the region. In a boost to higher education, Saini announced the opening of a new Government College at Ramsharan Majra (Babain). Furthermore, as a tribute to the message of social harmony, one educational institution in the state will be renamed after Sant Shiromani Shri Sain Bhagat Ji Maharaj.

The event was organized to mark the birth anniversary of Bhagat Saini Ji at Ladwa's Anaj Mandi. The CM highlighted the saint's teachings that rose above caste and religion to focus on truth, non-violence, and human welfare. He praised the contributions of the Sain community, referencing historical figures from the Sain dynasty to revolutionary Surya Sain.

Foundation for Six Key Projects Laid

During the ceremony, CM Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for six projects with a combined worth of Rs 16.5 crore. These immediate works include:

  • A tubewell and drinking water pipeline for Sirsama and Bajidpur villages.
  • A drinking water pipeline for Ghajlaan village.
  • Road strengthening on the Karnal–Ramba–Indri–Ladwa–Shahabad route within Ladwa's limits.
  • Special repair work at Babain Anaj Mandi.
  • Foundation for a drinking water pipeline in Kishanpura village.

Additionally, the state announced a contribution of Rs 51 lakh, while cabinet ministers Ranbir Gangwa, Krishan Bedi, and Shyam Singh Rana each pledged Rs 11 lakh for development initiatives.

Wide-Ranging Future Development Plans

Looking ahead, the Chief Minister outlined an extensive list of upcoming projects for the constituency. These include the development of an HSVP sector in Ladwa, a PWD Rest House, and a DI pipeline installation across 38 villages at a cost of Rs 17.01 crore. Significant sewage and STP works under the Mahagram Yojana are planned for Babain, Ramsharan Majra, Umri, and Deru Majra.

Other notable announcements are the construction of a Dr. BR Ambedkar Bhawan (Rs 2.75 crore), a new NAPA office building in Ladwa (Rs 6.5 crore), and a community centre on Indri road (Rs 7 crore). The plan also covers the maintenance of 82 PWD roads and the construction/repair of nearly 100 other roads. Under the Khet-Khalihaan Yojana, 25 km of rural pathways will be made permanent, with an extra Rs 5 crore allocated for village firnies (outer lanes) and another Rs 5 crore for general development works.

In a move focused on community recognition, the CM stated that the Sain community will be allotted a plot in Hisar as per norms and their application for a plot in Karnal will be approved. A grand entrance gate dedicated to Bhagat Sain will also be constructed in Panipat.

The event was attended by BJP Haryana president Mohan Lal Badoli, several ministers, BJP chief whip Ram Kumar Kashyap, former minister Subhash Sudha, Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena, SP Nitish Aggarwal, and numerous community representatives.
