In Gumla, Krishna Kumar Mishra from Ward No. 2 and Hemlata Devi from Ward No. 17 were both re-elected for their fourth consecutive terms, underscoring their deep-rooted connections with voters. In Lohardaga, Avinash Kaur completed a hat-trick of wins from Ward No. 8, representing the only Sikh family in the town. "Over the last 10 years, we have worked to make our ward corruption-free and always stood by the people, addressing their needs with sincerity," Avinash explained to TOI.
Dinesh Kumar Pande of Ward No. 13 in Lohardaga scripted history by retaining his seat for the fourth consecutive term since the first urban local bodies polls in 2008. He defeated Mir Arif by a margin of 284 votes, securing 704 votes against Arif's 420. Notably, around 45% of voters in this ward comprise the Muslim population, showcasing Pande's cross-community appeal.
"This result is the outcome of dedicated work for the people and honest, sincere development efforts in my ward," Pande told TOI, emphasizing his long-standing commitment to public service.
