What started as a war of words soon escalated into a physical confrontation. Enraged by the argument, the assailants allegedly attacked Manjunath. He sustained severe injuries during the assault and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. Despite the efforts of doctors, Manjunath succumbed to his injuries on Friday, May 17, a day after the attack.
