Five Arrested in Dewas Murder Over Old Rivalry

Indore: Five individuals have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Dewas, driven by a longstanding personal grudge. The attack took place on the night of April 16-17 in the Bhavani Sagar area, leaving one man dead and another critically injured.

Pre-Planned Assault

According to the Nahar Darwaza police, the accused executed a pre-planned assault on Gautam Nath and his associate Shubham using country-made pistols and sticks. Shubham died instantly from gunfire, while Nath is undergoing treatment for two gunshot wounds to his leg.

Attempt to Mislead Investigation

During the investigation, police uncovered a calculated attempt by the gang to mislead authorities. In an effort to file a false cross-report and confuse the sequence of events, the suspects intentionally shot one of their own accomplices, Varun Bali, in the leg.
