In a heartfelt gesture of keeping his word, Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made a special visit to Ippatam village in Guntur district on Tuesday. The purpose was to honour a promise he made to an elderly woman during a period of adversity for her family and other Jana Sena supporters.

The village of Ippatam had previously gained statewide attention when houses belonging to activists of the Jana Sena party were demolished. These demolitions, carried out under the banner of road expansion, were widely alleged to be politically motivated. The action was linked to a Jana Sena formation meeting that had been held in the village.
It was during this challenging phase that Pawan Kalyan, the party's leader, visited the affected families to offer his solidarity and boost their morale. Amidst the emotional turmoil, an elderly woman named Indla Nageswaramma made a poignant request. She asked Kalyan to return to her village after winning the elections.
