Congress MLAs Stage Protest in Jharkhand Assembly
In an unusual show of dissent, Congress MLAs, despite sitting on the treasury benches, held a protest in the state assembly seeking cancellation of NDA-supported Rajya Sabha candidate Parimal Nathwani’s nomination. The legislators claimed they were barred from meeting the returning officer and accused assembly officials of taking bribes and restricting their access. Congress minister Dipika Pandey Singh remarked that they felt “like orphans” in the absence of speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato to address their concerns.
Helping Hand for Pihu Kumari
In a small village of Soso in Jharkhand, young Pihu Kumari dreams beyond her circumstances. Despite her parents being differently-abled and struggling financially, the Class 4 student continues her education with determination. Recognising her spirit, the Jharkhand Pradesh Shaundik Sangh stepped forward to support her by sponsoring her studies for a year. The gesture not only eased her family’s burden but also ignited hope in her journey.
Democracy Goes “Ground-Level” in Style
Bokaro’s SIR campaign delivered yet another masterpiece of “modern governance with traditional seating.” At a posh private school, BLOs diligently mapped voters while seated on the floor, because apparently chairs are only for security guards, not democracy workers. Doctors, engineers, and senior officials, who are residents of the locality, joined the elite “ground-level mapping process,” turning official work into an unexpected floor yoga session.
Bokaro CRPF Jawan Awarded Shaurya Chakra
CRPF jawan Saddam Hussain, a resident of Camp-2 area of the district, was awarded the Shaurya Chakra by President Droupadi Murmu for exceptional bravery during a counter-terrorism operation in Jammu & Kashmir. On Nov 5, 2024, he played a key role in an encounter in Bandipora’s Chuttawadi-Kaitsun forest area. Despite heavy firing, he held his position and used an under barrel grenade launcher to eliminate a terrorist.
Magical Transformation
Former Jharkhand chief minister Arjun Munda celebrated 12 years of the Modi govt in Bokaro, calling it a magical transformation from ‘scam era’ to ‘golden governance.’ According to him, India suddenly discovered decision-making, honesty, and innovation after 2014, as if the country was on pause earlier. He also praised DBT, welfare schemes, and development achievements.
