Congress MLA Escapes Unhurt as SUV Catches Fire in MP

Bhopal: Yogendra Singh, also known as ‘Baba’, the sitting Congress MLA from Lakhnadon in Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni district, escaped unharmed along with his driver and gunman after their vehicle crashed and caught fire on National Highway-34 in the early hours of Thursday.

Details of the Incident

The accident took place around 7 am near Banjari village while the MLA was traveling from Jabalpur to Ghurwara village with his security escort. According to officials, the MLA’s SUV went out of control and rammed into the boundary wall of a roadside school after the driver tried to avoid hitting a cow.

Escape from the Burning Vehicle

As the SUV burst into flames on impact, the MLA, along with his gunman Raju Dhurve and driver Anu, managed to exit the vehicle before any harm could come to them. All three occupants escaped with minor injuries.

Rescue Operation

A team from the nearby Dhuma police station rushed to the scene after being alerted about the accident and put out the flames with the help of locals. The quick response prevented any further damage or casualties.
