BJP Leaders Launch Scathing Attack on TMC Government in West Bengal

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders on Tuesday launched a blistering attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, accusing it of "trampling the Constitution" and systematically destroying the state. The criticism came during the BJP's ongoing Parivartan Yatra campaign across the state.

Haryana CM Compares TMC Rule to "Atrocious British Raj"

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing a rally in South 24 Parganas, drew a sharp parallel between the current TMC administration and the colonial British rule. "The British had tortured the people here, and the government in Bengal today reminds us of those days. The communists first destroyed the state, but Mamata didi turned out to be even worse," Saini stated emphatically.

He further alleged that the state government has deprived citizens of basic facilities and essential services, leading to widespread discontent. "Voters have made up their mind to uproot TMC from power," Saini declared, expressing confidence in the BJP's prospects in the upcoming elections.

Allegations of Communal Division and Tribal Insults

Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya accused the TMC of making statements from protest platforms (dharna manch) that aim to divide the state on communal lines. "This will create unrest and foment tension. Desperation has gripped Trinamool," Bhattacharya claimed, suggesting the party is resorting to divisive tactics due to its declining popularity.

The BJP also targeted the TMC for allegedly undermining tribal and Dalit communities. Rahul Sinha, who was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha on Monday, highlighted an incident where the state government reportedly insulted the President of India. "The way the state government insulted the President is unprecedented. It was an insult to the entire tribal community. We will reach every household with that message," Sinha asserted, vowing to mobilize public opinion against the TMC.

Confidence in Voter List Revision and Electoral Victory

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, who participated in the Parivartan Yatra in Bardhaman Dakshin, dismissed concerns over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. He revealed that approximately 50-55 lakh people have been removed during the SIR process, a move that has reportedly troubled the TMC.

"Trinamool feels troubled as they are clueless. There will be SIR, elections will be held, and BJP will form the government here," Saha confidently predicted, underscoring the party's optimism about securing power in West Bengal through democratic means.

The BJP's concerted attack during the Parivartan Yatra signals an intensification of political rhetoric in West Bengal, setting the stage for a heated electoral battle focused on governance, constitutional integrity, and social justice issues.
