On Thursday, law enforcement authorities registered a First Information Report (FIR) and subsequently arrested three individuals, including Tejas alias Bunty Mhaskar, who is alleged to be the main accused and the husband of BJP corporator Hemangi Mhaskar.

The incident unfolded on Thursday evening in Badlapur, Thane, during a Maghi Ganpati function. According to Zonal Deputy Commissioner of Police Sachin Gore, Shiv Sena corporator Hemant Chature, accompanied by some party workers, had visited a society to participate in the religious event. It was here that Mhaskar, along with a few of his supporters who were present at the location, engaged in a heated argument with Chature.
Escalation to Violence and Injuries
The verbal confrontation quickly escalated into a physical altercation, with both sides reportedly flinging chairs at each other. In the ensuing melee, Hemant Chature sustained serious injuries and had to be rushed to a local hospital for immediate medical attention. Police officials confirmed that Chature suffered fractures during the attack and is currently undergoing treatment and recovery at the healthcare facility.

Following this, Tejas Mhaskar and two other individuals were placed under arrest.
