Deputy CM Bhatti Calls on Congress Workers to Ensure Welfare Schemes Reach Every Household
In a significant address, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka of Hyderabad has issued a clarion call to Congress party workers, urging them to ensure that government welfare and development schemes permeate every village and household across the state. Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the new executive committee of the Khammam District Congress Committee (DCC) on Tuesday, Bhatti emphasized the critical role of grassroots workers in bridging the gap between policy and people.
Focus on Farmer Welfare and Development Initiatives
Bhatti highlighted that farmers are the primary beneficiaries under the Congress government, citing key schemes such as Rythu Bharosa, minimum support price (MSP) guarantees, and a Rs 500 bonus per quintal for paddy. He asserted that these measures are designed to uplift the agricultural community and boost rural prosperity.
"It is the fundamental responsibility of every party worker to take development and welfare schemes to every household," Bhatti declared, underscoring the need for proactive outreach to ensure no one is left behind.
Allegations Against Opposition and Political Accusations
In a pointed critique, Bhatti accused leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of engaging in false propaganda against the Congress government. He alleged that this misinformation campaign is driven by a desire to prevent farmers from reaping the benefits of state initiatives.
"BRS leaders are spreading falsehoods because they fear that the empowerment of farmers and the poor will undermine their political relevance," Bhatti claimed, suggesting that opposition parties are motivated by political self-preservation rather than public interest.
Commitment to Constitutional Values and Party Principles
Congratulating the newly elected members of the Khammam DCC, Bhatti reaffirmed Khammam as a stronghold of the Congress party. He urged the office-bearers to align their work with the core principles of the Congress while steadfastly upholding the equality and rights enshrined in the Constitution of India.
Bhatti reiterated the government's unwavering commitment to farmer welfare, accusing BRS leaders of conspiring and disseminating misinformation for narrow political gains. He stressed that such tactics would not deter the administration's focus on inclusive development.
Massive Housing Scheme and Statewide Development
In a major announcement, Bhatti revealed that the state government has sanctioned 3,500 houses per constituency, culminating in a total of 4.5 lakh houses across the state. This ambitious housing scheme is backed by an allocation of Rs 22,500 crore, aimed at providing affordable housing to the underprivileged.
"No other state in the country has implemented a housing initiative of this magnitude," Bhatti asserted, positioning the scheme as a landmark achievement in social welfare. He further alleged that opposition parties are spreading negativity out of fear that the empowerment of the poor will weaken their political existence, framing the housing project as a transformative step toward economic equity.
The Deputy CM's remarks underscore a broader strategy to consolidate Congress support through direct beneficiary engagement and robust implementation of welfare policies, even as political tensions with the BRS continue to simmer.
