The deceased, identified as Bhanu Ashok Gusa, a resident of Vasai, was fatally struck by a dumper on SV Road. The incident happened barely 30 minutes after she had visited her daughter's home.

According to police reports, Bhanu Ashok Gusa was on her way to the railway station to catch a train back to Vasai when the dumper hit her. The driver of the dumper, identified as Kamalsingh Yadav (43), fled the scene immediately after the accident. However, he was later apprehended by the authorities.
