Woman Bank Employee Found Dead in Ballari Stream

The body of a 38-year-old woman employed at the Pragathi Krishna Gramin Bank was discovered in the Andral stream in Ballari, according to police officials on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Anisha Fathima, a resident of Kaul Bazaar in the city.

Discovery of the Body

Local residents spotted the body entangled in garbage and a wire fence near the stream and immediately alerted the authorities. Police suspect that the body may have been washed into the stream during the heavy rainfall that occurred on Saturday night. However, the condition in which the body was found has raised several questions, prompting investigators to probe the circumstances surrounding the death.

Last Known Movements

According to police, Anisha Fathima had attended a party with her bank colleagues on Saturday. She reportedly spoke to her husband around 11pm on the same night. There was no further contact with her after that call. The APMC police visited the spot and conducted an inspection. Further investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of death and the events leading up to the incident.
