Two Firefighters Injured in Tata Communications Office Fire

New Delhi: Two firefighters sustained burn injuries while battling a blaze that erupted in a battery room at a Tata Communications office building in South Delhi's Greater Kailash-I in the early hours of Friday.

Incident Details

The Delhi Fire Services received an emergency call about the fire at 2:47 am. A total of 11 fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. During the firefighting operation, two personnel suffered burn injuries to their hands.

Injured Firefighters

The injured firefighters were identified as fire operators Sandeep and Suresh, both attached to the Mathura Road fire station. They were immediately rushed to Safdarjung Hospital for medical treatment.

Fire Containment

Officials confirmed that the fire was confined to a room on the third floor of the building. The blaze was brought under control and extinguished around 7:05 am. No other injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the origin of the blaze.
