According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (MIDC Bhosari Division) Sudhakar Yadav of the Pimpri Chinchwad police, the complainant, Karan Rathod, and the accused are both known criminals on police records. Both had been released from jail a few months prior to the incident.

The altercation took place around 6 PM on Wednesday in Dighi. The two were initially chatting casually, but their conversation soon turned into a heated argument. In the heat of the moment, the accused pulled out a firearm and fired a round.

ACP Yadav confirmed that no one sustained injuries in the firing. The accused fled the scene immediately after the incident.
